Michael Allen Company Gives Conference Workshop on Leveraging Secondary Data
Kevin Kirby presented a workshop entitled Understanding the Fundamentals of Secondary Data at CBI’s Leveraging Secondary Data conference in Philadelphia, PA on December 13, 2010. The workshop covered many different secondary data sources – prescribing data, anonymous patient-level longitudinal data, hospital data, formulary data, promotional data, audit data, etc. – including strengths and weaknesses of each source. Kevin discussed strategies to integrate multiple secondary data sources as well as the importance of blending in primary data. Several innovative case studies were presented that showcased the power of integrating and harnessing various data sources. The workshop also demonstrated the integration of managed care analytics into targeting and incentive compensation, resulting in sales plans and goals that are more equitable and motivating to sales representatives.
